12/22/2021-I had my vehicle (2021 Acadia, 7K miles) in to diagnose cooling fan issues. Was told thermostat was the problem and Star would order the part. (not sure why a thermostat for 2021 vehicle is not a stock item) Next appointment was made for 01/04/2022. Received a call that thermostat had to be ordered and vehicle would be kept an extra day. (Thermostat was supposed to be ordered 2 weeks ago) Anyway, a faulty thermostat cost me 3 round trips and 3 days without a vehicle. Also disappointed that a loaner vehicle was not available. Note-I also had a phone charging pad installed @ $429.30 total cost. That project went well although I did not receive a call when this item arrived. John Vincler Whitehall, PA
Service was great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Marco was awesome. Such a big difference that the bad attitude you get at my local Fred Beans dealership. It’s worth the 30 minute drive to go to Star. The dealership could use a facelift and some updating but other than that its great.
After Many years of car buying.. it was for the most enjoyable experience ever. From the sales team to Sals manager and support team.. I was treated more like friend then customer … Also Star is military friendly. Thanks guys Cmdr Jim Gibbs
Was told over the phone tires would be around $120 to mount and balance. Arrived at the dealer, was told it would take max 1-1.5hours. Waited for 2 hours and 15 mins and they charged me over $200. If I would have known that I would have went to O'Neil where I bought the car from and traveled a little further. Only nice thing was the gentlemen in the office was nice.
Had an appointment with no vehicle availability. Service - inspection along with oil change- couldn't be completed so was told to come back another day for inspection and it would take about 10-15 minutes. Had to make an appointment to do so but machine was not charged to run inspection. Wait time on a service that was told 10-15 minutes took about an hour and 45 minutes. Tried to be understanding at about 45 minutes. Made an appointment so they were well aware why my vehicle was there. Called and spoke to a manager to express why I wouldn't like of this dealership 1st when purchasing a vehicle again. Without great dependable service for a vehicle that's new from dealership where car was purchased, not sure I will purchase here again. Vehicle has been in about 3 or 4 times for service and it hasn't been a good experience any of those visits.
